About the 2001 Midterm NZES
Interviews took place between 23 June and 22 July 2001 at the University of Waikato Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences CATI Facility, in the Department of Political Science and Public Policy. In all, 729 interviews were completed, with a response rate of 45 percent. The data are weighted by household size, education and recalled vote in 1999. On this basis the data were reasonably representative of the population by age and gender.
Financial support was provided by the University of Waikato Arts and Social Sciences Research Committee.
Some findings from this survey are reported in Voter's Veto: The 2002 Election in New Zealand and the Consolidation of Minority Government.
